Quality Inspector | Rockford, MI

Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality records.
• Identify, quarantine, and report non-conforming materials or products.
• Utilize and maintain various precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ensure adherence to internal quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues.
• Provide feedback to production teams regarding quality performance and potential improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills for inspection reports.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
• Proficiency in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for quality module input.
