Key Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and repair complex tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to determine tooling requirements and fabrication methods.
• Operate precision machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to produce tooling components.
• Perform heat treating, welding, and finishing operations on tooling to ensure durability and precision.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling performance in production environments.
• Maintain and inspect tooling to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to develop and improve tooling designs.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and quality standards throughout all fabrication and repair processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• - Journeyman Tool and Die Maker certification or equivalent experience.
• - Proven experience in machining, grinding, and fitting of complex tooling.
• - Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T.
• - Experience with CNC machining centers and EDM machines.
• - Strong understanding of metallurgy and heat treatment processes.
• - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to tool and die repair.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with CNC programming and operation.
• - Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software.
• - Familiarity with EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining).
• - Understanding of heat treatment processes for tooling.
• - Experience with precision grinding techniques.
