Salary Range: $67,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization, inventory, and maintenance of all tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and equipment.
• Implement and enforce tool control policies and procedures to ensure accountability and prevent loss.
• Schedule and supervise preventative maintenance and repair activities for all tooling.
• Train and mentor tool room personnel on proper tool handling, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Manage the procurement and stocking of consumables and spare parts for the tool room.
• Maintain accurate records of tool usage, repair history, and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure tooling meets quality and production requirements.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment within the tool room.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a tool room or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of tooling, machining processes, and quality control.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and procurement systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance schedules for tooling and equipment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation.
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance schedules for tooling.
• Experience in training and developing junior tool room staff.
