Validation Engineer | Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and document validation protocols for manufacturing equipment, processes, and software.
• Write and review validation plans, IQ/OQ/PQ reports, and other validation documentation.
• Identify and implement validation strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Engineering, to define validation scope and requirements.
• Troubleshoot validation deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Maintain and update validation master plans and associated documentation.
• Participate in change control activities related to validated systems.
• Train personnel on validation procedures and best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical) or a related scientific field.
• Proven experience in developing and executing validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) for manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11, Part 210/211), and other relevant quality standards.
• Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation for validation studies.
• Proficiency in using validation software and tools (e.g., validation lifecycle management systems, statistical software).
• Excellent technical writing skills for creating clear, concise, and accurate validation documentation.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
• - Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) principles
• - Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA)
• - Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) for test automation or data analysis
• - Experience with data integrity and data lifecycle management principles
