Salary Range: $48,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and products against specifications, blueprints, and purchase orders.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify critical dimensions and characteristics.
- Document inspection results accurately, including acceptance, rejection, and any observed non-conformances, in designated quality records or systems.
- Identify, segregate, and label non-conforming materials, initiating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and collaborating with relevant departments for resolution.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards to ensure proper inspection criteria are applied.
- Maintain calibration and proper functioning of inspection equipment and tools, reporting any issues or need for recalibration.
- Assist in the investigation of quality issues related to incoming materials, providing data and samples as needed.
Recommended Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Experience with AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) sampling plans and inspection methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and quality system documentation.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience operating advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator, profilometer).
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Basic understanding of GD&T principles beyond fundamental blueprint reading.
- Experience participating in root cause analysis or continuous improvement activities.
