Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure new product designs are manufacturable (DFM/DFA).
• Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling for new product introduction.
• Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, BOMs, and routings.
• Lead pilot production runs, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to achieve production readiness and ramp-up.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality, yield, or performance issues during the NPI phase.
• Define, procure, and qualify necessary production equipment, fixtures, and materials for new product lines.
• Facilitate the smooth transfer of new products and processes from engineering to sustained production, including training production staff.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to the product line (e.g., machining, assembly, SMT, injection molding).
• Experience in developing, validating, and optimizing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures for new products.
• Proficiency in using CAD software for design review, process planning, and fixture design.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including managing timelines and cross-functional teams for product launches.

Bonus Qualifications

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent Lean manufacturing expertise.
• Proficiency with advanced PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Enovia).
• Experience with Design for X (DFX) principles (e.g., DFM, DFA, DFT) and related analysis tools.
• PMP certification or demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional NPI projects.
