Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new packaging solutions for manufactured products.
• Select and evaluate packaging materials for performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of packaging designs to ensure product protection and compliance.
• Optimize existing packaging for cost reduction, material efficiency, and improved operational processes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, marketing, and supply chain teams on packaging integration.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive packaging specifications, standards, and quality control procedures.
• Ensure all packaging designs comply with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD) for packaging design and prototyping.
• Strong knowledge of various packaging materials (plastics, paperboard, glass, metals) and their properties.
• Experience with packaging test methods (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and validation protocols.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with sustainable packaging design principles and life cycle assessments (LCA).
• Proficiency in advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA) for packaging performance.
• Demonstrated experience with automated packaging equipment and robotics integration.
