Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the fabrication team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
  • Oversee all fabrication processes, including cutting, welding, forming, and assembly, to meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Ensure all fabricated components comply with engineering blueprints, quality control measures, and industry standards.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate fabrication technicians, fostering skill development and a safe work environment.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure and compliant fabrication area.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on fabrication machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production planning to optimize fabrication methods and resolve technical challenges.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in various fabrication techniques including welding (MIG, TIG, Stick), cutting, forming, and assembly.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role within a manufacturing fabrication environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to enforcing safety protocols and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimize processes.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for design review and minor programming.
  • Advanced welding certifications (e.g., AWS CWI, specific exotic materials).
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
