Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment according to specifications.
• Monitor EDM processes to ensure part quality, adherence to tolerances, and efficient material removal.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting of EDM machines and related tooling.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine machining parameters.
• Document production activities, machine settings, and quality control data accurately.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in setting up, loading, operating, and monitoring EDM equipment.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) for part inspection.
• Basic understanding of EDM principles and ability to adjust machine parameters to achieve specifications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for manufacturing applications.
• Experience operating other precision CNC machinery (e.g., CNC Mill, Grinder).
• Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with advanced metrology and inspection equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).
