Salary Range: $70,000 - $104,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Kentwood seeking Process Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement process control strategies to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Conduct root cause analysis of process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer new products and processes from R&D to production.
• Monitor and analyze process data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Create and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and flowcharts.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to analyze complex processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions for improvement.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II) and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Experience with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and other safety review techniques.

Bonus Qualifications

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Experience with simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic)
• Proficiency in a programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python, R)
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM)
• Experience in a specific manufacturing process relevant to the company's industry
