Salary Range: $62,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Battle Creek seeking Tool Room Supervisors who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise tool room staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tooling and precision equipment.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and raw materials, ensuring optimal stock levels.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for tooling and machinery.
• Collaborate with production and engineering departments to address tooling needs and improve processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the tool room.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling issues to minimize production downtime.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a tool room or machining environment.
• 2+ years experience in a supervisory or lead role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials (e.g., CNC milling, turning, grinding, EDM).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex tooling and machining issues.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software for tool design and programming.
• Certification in a relevant field (e.g., machining, tooling, industrial maintenance).
• Strong understanding of metrology and precision measurement techniques.
