Salary Range: $63,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train tool room personnel on safety procedures and equipment operation.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tooling and equipment.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials to ensure adequate supply and minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for tooling and machinery.
• Collaborate with production and engineering departments to address tooling issues and support new product development.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations within the tool room.
• Troubleshoot complex tooling problems and provide technical guidance to the team.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a manufacturing tool room environment.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of precision machining, grinding, and fabrication processes.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking tools and equipment.
• Certification in a relevant field such as machining, metrology, or quality control.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
• Experience with 3D modeling software for designing and modifying tools.
