Salary Range: $61,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, repair, and modify tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
  • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
  • Perform precision measurements using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tooling and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production personnel on tool design and improvement projects.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or vocational training in tool making is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
  • Expertise in using a variety of precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex tooling and dies.
