Weld Technician | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $42,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Delta Township seeking Weld Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including welders, grinders, and cutting tools.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize welding processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• AWS Certified Welder (CW) certification or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
• Strong understanding of metallurgy and welding metallurgy
• Ability to perform quality inspections and troubleshoot welding issues

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with robotic welding systems.
• Proficiency in non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• A CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification.
