Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using various metrology equipment.
• Operate, program, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced measurement systems.
• Calibrate and verify the accuracy of gauges, tools, and measurement instruments according to established standards.
• Analyze measurement data, interpret results, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and support root cause analysis for quality issues.
• Maintain comprehensive calibration records and documentation in compliance with quality management systems.
• Assist in the development and validation of new measurement methods and fixturing.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and calibrating a variety of precision measurement equipment (e.g., CMM, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with metrology software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso) for programming, data collection, and analysis.
• Solid understanding of measurement uncertainty, calibration principles, and quality control standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Technical degree or certification in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related engineering field, preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for model interpretation and fixture design.
• Experience with programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or vision systems (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods and data analysis techniques.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
