Salary Range: $44,000 - $64,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing firms in the Newaygo area that seek skilled Bookkeepers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and look for professionals who can contribute effectively. Usual Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly close and basic financial reports.
• Track inventory costs and job cost records.
• Organize receipts and supporting documents for audits.
• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements each month.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare invoices and track customer payments.
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets for tracking and reconciliation.
• Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Prior bookkeeping experience, ideally in manufacturing or a related industry.
• Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks or ERP systems.
• Understanding of double-entry accounting and general ledger work.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with job costing or inventory accounting.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and related filings.
• Exposure to ERP systems used in manufacturing environments.
• Certified Bookkeeper (CB) credential.
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end close.
