Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and optimizes tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
• Analyzes production issues and implements tooling solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality, to define tooling requirements.
• Manages tooling projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.
• Performs root cause analysis on tooling failures and implements corrective actions.
• Evaluates and recommends new tooling technologies and materials to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
• Develops and maintains tooling specifications, documentation, and maintenance procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in tooling design, manufacturing, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Catia) for tooling design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes, materials, and tooling fabrication methods (e.g., machining, casting, injection molding).
• Demonstrated experience with process improvement methodologies and problem-solving related to tooling performance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for mold design and analysis (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia, Moldflow).
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes beyond injection molding, such as stamping, casting, or machining.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve complex tooling issues under pressure.
• Knowledge of material science and its application to tooling design and performance.
