Manufacturing Engineer | Montague, MI

Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Design, develop, and implement manufacturing tools, fixtures, and equipment.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to processes, materials, or equipment.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and process flowcharts.
• Implement Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and product quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
• Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
• Proficiency in CAD software for designing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
• Experience with manufacturing automation, robotics, and PLC systems

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Proficiency in advanced manufacturing simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim)
• Experience with additive manufacturing processes and design for additive manufacturing (DFAM)
• Exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, AI/ML, digital twins)
