Salary Range: $84,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for raw materials, components, and MRO items to support manufacturing operations.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Manage supplier relationships, evaluate performance, and identify new supply sources to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and planning departments to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks to inform purchasing decisions and mitigate potential disruptions.
• Ensure all purchased goods and services comply with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the purchasing process, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and supplier performance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in purchasing/procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, inventory control, and logistics.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing and inventory operations.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve cost savings and optimize purchasing processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certification in Lean Six Sigma, APICS, or other relevant supply chain methodologies.
• Experience with international sourcing, logistics, and Incoterms.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, including implementation or optimization experience.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and supplier performance tracking.
