Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of raw materials and components.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers while managing existing vendor relationships and performance.
• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost reduction targets.
• Collaborate with production and planning departments to ensure timely availability of materials and minimize inventory levels.
• Monitor market trends, material availability, and pricing to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
• Oversee the generation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process and supply chain.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven negotiation skills and a track record of achieving cost savings and supply chain efficiencies.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, MRP, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Experience in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and vendor performance evaluation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with advanced ERP modules (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle SCM) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis.
• Industry certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
• Experience implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other continuous improvement initiatives within a procurement function.
• Demonstrated experience in global sourcing strategies, new supplier development, or managing international supply chains.
