Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Calibrate and maintain precision measurement equipment and instrumentation.
• Perform dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using various metrology tools.
• Program, operate, and troubleshoot Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other automated systems.
• Document measurement results, calibration records, and inspection reports accurately.
• Analyze measurement data to identify trends, process variations, and non-conformances.
• Ensure all measurement activities comply with relevant industry standards and internal quality procedures.
• Assist in the development and validation of new measurement techniques and fixtures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and programming various metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, vision systems, hand tools).
• Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with calibration, verification, and maintenance of measurement tools and gauges.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills for measurement data interpretation and problem-solving.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or metrology laboratory environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model interpretation and measurement planning.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for quality improvement.
• Ability to develop and optimize automated measurement routines (e.g., CMM programming, scripting).
• Familiarity with advanced metrology technologies such as structured light scanning or industrial CT scanning.
