Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing tooling, including jigs, fixtures, molds, and dies.
• Lead tooling projects from concept through validation and production implementation.
• Provide expert technical support and troubleshoot tooling-related issues on the production floor.
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance and repair programs for all production tooling.
• Conduct root cause analysis for tooling failures and implement effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of tooling into manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate and select appropriate tooling materials, manufacturing methods, and external suppliers.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam) for tooling design.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, injection molding, machining) and tooling materials.
• Experience in tool design, fabrication, maintenance, and modification.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tooling issues and optimize performance.
• Knowledge of metrology and quality inspection techniques for tooling validation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis).
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of advanced tooling materials, coatings, and heat treatment processes.
• Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling applications.
