Industrial Electrician | Spring Lake, MI

Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using schematics, blueprints, and testing devices.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure operational reliability and safety.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications for installations and repairs.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company policies.
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor controls, and other industrial control systems.
  • Document all maintenance, repairs, and installation activities accurately and thoroughly.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience with industrial control systems (PLCs, VFDs, HMIs).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Thorough knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E).

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with robotic systems or automated machinery.
  • Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting specific PLC platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens).
  • Certification or advanced training in Instrumentation & Controls.
  • Experience with high-voltage distribution systems (e.g., 480V and above).
  • Participation in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
