The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across DeWitt seeking Buyers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers while managing existing supplier relationships.
• Generate and issue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Collaborate with production and planning to optimize inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
• Monitor market trends and commodity prices to inform strategic purchasing decisions.
• Resolve quality and delivery issues with suppliers to maintain production flow.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and value engineering.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing/procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing and inventory management.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Demonstrated understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory optimization.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with international sourcing and logistics
• Proficiency with advanced data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Project management experience or certification (e.g., CAPM)
