Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Coopersville that are seeking Controls Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and debug PLC and HMI applications for new and existing equipment.
• Design and implement control systems, electrical schematics, and panel layouts.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for automation systems and electrical failures.
• Integrate and program industrial robots and other automated machinery.
• Optimize process control loops and machine performance for efficiency and quality.
• Manage automation projects from design through commissioning, ensuring scope and budget adherence.
• Implement and maintain industrial network communication protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• Expertise in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell Automation, Siemens) and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in HMI/SCADA system design and development.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
• Experience with industrial robotics and/or servo motion control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.
• Proven experience in commissioning, startup, and optimization of automated manufacturing equipment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial robotics programming and integration (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB).
• Proficiency with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) for inspection and guidance.
• Familiarity with database integration (SQL, Historian) for data collection and reporting.
• Experience with advanced functional safety system design and implementation.
