Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mechanical designs for manufacturability and performance.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for product components.
• Design, build, and test prototypes to validate concepts and specifications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production and resolve design-related issues.
• Conduct design reviews and implement feedback for continuous product improvement.
• Generate comprehensive documentation, including Bills of Material (BOMs) and assembly instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for 3D modeling, drafting, and simulation.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Knowledge of material science, selection, and application in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with FEA/CFD simulation software for design validation.
• Demonstrated expertise in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of physical designs.
• Familiarity with specific manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining, additive manufacturing) beyond theoretical knowledge.
