Salary Range: $57,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate new suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to optimize stock, prevent shortages, and reduce waste.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster reliable supply chains.
• Identify and implement strategies for cost reduction and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• Ensure purchased materials meet specified quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of direct purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement functions
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs)
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Bonus Qualifications

• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) or Procurement (e.g., CPSM)
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with advanced e-procurement platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa)
