Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for all manufacturing and office employees.
  • Verify and reconcile timekeeping data, including overtime, shift differentials, and production bonuses.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including FLSA.
  • Process new hires, terminations, employee data changes, and various deductions.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, garnishments, and year-end reports (W-2s).
  • Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax information.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of full-cycle payroll processing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, including FLSA compliance.
  • Proficiency with major payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and integrated timekeeping systems (e.g., Kronos, UKG).
  • Proven experience processing payroll for unionized workforces, including understanding of collective bargaining agreements, shift differentials, and complex overtime calculations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to handle confidential information.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with union payroll and/or complex shift differential calculations.
  • Familiarity with time & attendance systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., Kronos, ADP Time).
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) for integrated HR/Payroll functions.
  • Experience with general ledger reconciliation for payroll accounts.
