Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of packaging to ensure product protection and integrity.
• Select appropriate packaging materials based on cost, performance, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain teams to integrate packaging effectively.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to packaging materials and processes.
• Ensure all packaging designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and company specifications.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for packaging equipment and line operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development, design, or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD) for packaging design and specification.
• Strong knowledge of various packaging materials (plastics, paperboard, corrugated, flexible films) and their properties.
• Familiarity with packaging machinery, automation, and testing methodologies (e.g., ISTA, ASTM standards).

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Proficiency with packaging-specific design software (e.g., CAPE, TOPS)
• Experience in sustainable packaging design and lifecycle assessment (LCA)
• PMP or equivalent project management certification
