Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Select and qualify appropriate packaging materials based on product requirements, cost, and sustainability.
• Conduct packaging performance testing and validation to ensure product protection, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to integrate packaging designs and processes into production lines.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction and efficiency improvements for packaging materials and operations.
• Ensure all packaging designs adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company specifications.
• Manage packaging projects from concept development through to successful implementation and continuous improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development, design, or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD) for package design and specification.
• Strong knowledge of various packaging materials (plastics, paperboard, corrugated, metals) and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with packaging testing standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and regulatory compliance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
