Salary Range: $58,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a team of machinists.
• Set up, program, and operate complex CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision parts.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of machined components through inspection and adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining processes and equipment, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
• Develop and implement optimized machining strategies to improve efficiency and reduce production time.
• Train new and junior machinists on equipment operation, safety procedures, and best practices.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in precision machining, including significant CNC operation and programming.
• Proven leadership experience (2+ years) in a manufacturing environment, including team supervision, training, and scheduling.
• Expertise in interpreting complex engineering blueprints, GD&T, and utilizing precision measurement tools for quality control.
• Proficiency in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting a variety of manual and CNC machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement and safety protocols.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, laser scanners)
• Proficiency in 3D CAD/CAM software for design and simulation
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or 5S methodologies
• Ability to perform basic machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
