Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify adherence to specifications.
  • Interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand quality requirements and tolerances.
  • Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, maintaining detailed records of accepted and rejected items.
  • Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate rejection procedures and corrective action requests.
  • Conduct first-article inspections (FAI) and in-process checks to ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated skill in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, SPC).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills to identify defects and non-conformances.
  • Ability to accurately document inspection results and communicate findings effectively.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
  • Certification in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience in calibrating inspection tools and equipment.
