Salary Range: $57,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer Requests for Quote (RFQs), blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to gather accurate cost data, material lead times, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Calculate detailed material, labor, overhead, and other associated costs to develop competitive and profitable pricing.
• Prepare and present formal price quotations, proposals, and supporting documentation to customers.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all quotes, pricing structures, and customer communication within the CRM or quoting system.
• Follow up on submitted quotes, negotiate terms, and provide revisions as necessary to secure new orders.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, or value engineering to enhance quoting accuracy and competitiveness.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quoting, sales support, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical specifications, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for cost estimation, pricing, and margin calculations.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing complex quotes and proposals.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly) and materials.
• Proficiency with ERP or CRM systems commonly used for quoting and order management (e.g., SAP, Salesforce).
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles related to manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or CAD models.
