Salary Range: $44,000 - $64,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Norton Shores that are seeking skilled Shipping & Receiving Clerks. Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Accurately record and log all incoming and outgoing inventory using the company's inventory management system.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to customer orders and shipping requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate with carriers for outgoing freight pickups.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments (production, purchasing, sales) regarding inventory status and shipment details.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment.
• Proficient in using inventory management software and basic computer applications.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment (certification may be required).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Forklift certification
• Experience with inventory management software
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• Familiarity with shipping carrier portals (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret basic production schedules
