Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product specifications against blueprints.
  • Document inspection results accurately, identifying and reporting non-conformances and defects.
  • Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final product inspections according to control plans and quality standards.
  • Initiate and track non-conformance reports (NCRs) and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Ensure all products comply with established quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain calibration records for inspection tools and equipment, ensuring their accuracy and proper function.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficient in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and industry standards.
  • Experience in documenting inspection results and non-conformances.

Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ Certification (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector, Certified Quality Technician)
  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience operating or programming a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience with specific Quality Management System (QMS) software
