Salary Range: $54,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Coopersville that are seeking skilled Staff Accountants. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment application.
• Participate in inventory accounting, including cycle counts, variance analysis, and cost accounting.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with inventory valuation methods and standard costing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• - Understanding of inventory valuation methods (FIFO, LIFO, Weighted Average) and their impact on financial statements.
• - Familiarity with standard costing and variance analysis.
• - Experience with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
