Salary Range: $78,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans for incoming materials and components.
• Conduct supplier audits to assess their quality management systems and processes.
• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, including non-conformances and customer complaints.
• Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in their quality performance.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier quality.
• Review and approve supplier documentation, such as inspection reports and certificates of analysis.
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) processes to ensure supplier readiness and quality.
• Manage supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and verify their effectiveness.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in supplier quality management, auditing, and corrective action implementation within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and relevant industry standards.
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies, and problem-solving tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective supplier relationship management.
• Experience with PPAP, FMEA, and other quality planning tools.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software and analysis.
• - Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• - Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification.
• - Experience with root cause analysis tools like 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams.
• - Proficiency in a specific industry standard relevant to the manufacturing sector (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).
