Salary Range: $60,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and repair precision tooling, dies, molds, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and CAD data to plan and execute machining operations.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment.
- Perform precision measurements and inspections using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose tooling issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to develop and refine tooling designs and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain and sharpen tooling to ensure consistent quality and extend its lifespan.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures within the manufacturing environment.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship completion or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience in tool and die making, including blueprint reading and precision measurement.
- Proficiency with manual machining equipment (lathes, milling machines, grinders) and CNC machinery.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treating, and various tooling materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in fabricating and repairing complex tooling.
- Ability to operate and maintain precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Experience with CNC programming and operation
- - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tool design and simulation
- - Knowledge of various heat treatment processes for tooling
- - Familiarity with robotic welding applications for tool repair
