Salary Range: $42,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against blueprints, specifications, and purchase orders.
• Utilize various measurement tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs, to verify material conformity.
• Accurately record and document all inspection results, including acceptance, rejection, and deviation data, in the quality management system.
• Identify, segregate, and tag non-conforming materials, initiating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinating with relevant departments.
• Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and supplier quality teams to resolve material quality issues and improve supplier performance.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment according to established schedules and procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure all incoming materials meet quality standards and are properly released to production or quarantined.

Recommended Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in identifying non-conformances.
• Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality control principles.
• Experience with data entry and basic computer applications for record-keeping.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with metrology software (e.g., Calypso, PC-DMIS, Minitab).
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Basic understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems for inventory or quality transactions.
