Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed dimensional and visual inspections of first article parts against engineering specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring equipment, including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Generate comprehensive First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and associated documentation.
• Verify compliance of manufactured parts to blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.
• Identify and document non-conformances, deviations, and critical dimensions requiring attention.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection data, equipment calibration, and traceability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Expertise in precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, optical comparators).
• Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proven experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102 or equivalent industry standards.
• Ability to accurately document inspection results, identify non-conformances, and generate comprehensive FAI reports.

Bonus Qualifications

• CMM programming experience (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)
• ASQ certification (e.g., CQT, CQI)
• Proficiency with 3D CAD viewing software
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
