Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of complex custom automation equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on industrial machinery.
  • Interpret and apply information from detailed blueprints, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder logic diagrams for diagnostics.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering teams to provide feedback for system improvements.
  • Conduct comprehensive functional testing and fine-tuning of equipment post-installation or repair.
  • Provide clear and professional communication with clients regarding service status and technical explanations.
  • Complete detailed service reports, outlining work performed, parts used, and technical observations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and company protocols at all times.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Industrial Mechanics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an industrial mechanic or field service technician in a manufacturing or automation environment.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret complex electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, as well as mechanical blueprints.
  • Strong diagnostic skills for troubleshooting industrial control systems, including basic PLC logic and HMI navigation.
  • Experience with servo motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and various sensor technologies.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively (up to 75%, including overnight and extended stays).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with robotic systems (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka, ABB) for basic troubleshooting.
  • Strong aptitude for independent problem-solving and decision-making in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide basic on-site client training on machine operation and maintenance.
