Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs from CAD models and blueprints.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD data, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
  • Execute First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process, and final product inspections using CMMs.
  • Analyze measurement data, identify discrepancies, and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
  • Troubleshoot CMM programming and measurement issues, ensuring accuracy and repeatability.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to define inspection requirements and resolve non-conformances.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience in CMM programming in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Deep understanding of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and CMM operation.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting CMM programs, fixtures, and measurement results.
  • Relevant technical degree or certification in metrology, quality, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) for model analysis or fixture design.
  • Experience operating and programming other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners).
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA) for data analysis or program automation.
