Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products, components, or systems from concept to production.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings.
• Perform design analysis, material selection, and optimization for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product realization.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including BOMs and specifications.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities to verify design performance.
• Identify and implement design improvements for existing products to enhance performance, reliability, or reduce costs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) and PDM systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication) and their impact on design.
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Strong knowledge of material properties, selection, and application in product design.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, or assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD) for design validation and optimization.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
