Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery for manufacturing operations.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items, ensuring favorable terms.
• Oversee the entire procurement cycle, ensuring timely availability of materials to support production schedules.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and internal needs to identify cost reduction opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
• Collaborate closely with production, planning, and engineering departments to forecast material requirements and support manufacturing goals.
• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to foster innovation and ensure supply chain reliability.
• Develop and enforce purchasing policies, procedures, and ethical standards to ensure compliance and efficient operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Extensive experience in purchasing and supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems for procurement and inventory control.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and optimize purchasing strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices and logistics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated proficiency with advanced ERP/MRP system functionalities for procurement (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud).
• Experience with international sourcing, import/export regulations, and global logistics.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience managing complex sourcing projects.
