Quality Technician | Otsego, MI

Salary Range: $45,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections according to specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product conformance.
• Document inspection results, non-conformances, and maintain accurate quality records.
• Identify and segregate non-conforming materials, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support problem-solving efforts.
• Conduct first article inspections and provide feedback to production for process adjustments.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality control plans and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings, including GD&T.
• Experience with quality control methodologies (e.g., SPC, MSA, root cause analysis).
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification
• Experience with CMM programming or advanced metrology software
• Certified Internal Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)
• Demonstrated experience leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations
