Quality Technician | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $44,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Conduct various tests and measurements to verify product specifications and quality standards.
  • Document inspection results, non-conformances, and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming materials and assist with disposition processes.
  • Ensure all measuring and testing equipment is calibrated and properly maintained.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support the development and revision of quality control procedures and work instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; technical certification or Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or quality control role.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and basic quality tools (e.g., SPC, Root Cause Analysis).
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to accurately document quality data.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean/Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis software for data analysis.
  • Internal auditor experience for ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with calibration of measurement equipment.
