Salary Range: $67,000 - $100,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct the daily activities of the shop floor team, ensuring efficient workflow and production targets are met.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor shop floor employees, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards on the shop floor.
  • Manage and maintain shop floor equipment, tools, and machinery, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Monitor production schedules, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to maintain optimal output.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to shop floor personnel.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials, parts, and finished goods within the shop, ensuring availability.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to resolve production issues and improve processes.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a leadership component.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing and motivating a team.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and production schedules.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in team supervision.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Lean manufacturing principles knowledge
  • - Experience with preventative maintenance scheduling
  • - Basic CAD/CAM software familiarity
  • - OSHA 30-hour certification
