Salary Range: $55,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the shipping and receiving department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Supervise and train shipping and receiving staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Manage inventory levels within the shipping and receiving areas, conducting regular cycle counts.
• Coordinate with carriers for timely pickups and deliveries of goods.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and discrepancies, resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including bills of lading and packing slips.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies in the shipping and receiving department.
• Optimize warehouse layout and material flow to improve operational efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency in using shipping software, barcode scanners, and material handling equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, including training and motivating a team.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• - Forklift certification or experience operating various types of material handling equipment.
• - Familiarity with inventory management software and ERP systems.
• - Basic understanding of import/export documentation and procedures.
• - Proven ability to train and mentor junior team members.
