Salary Range: $43,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify conformance to specifications.
- Document inspection results accurately in quality records, databases, or Material Review Boards (MRB) systems.
- Identify and segregate non-conforming materials, initiating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality specifications to ensure correct inspection criteria are applied.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and suppliers to resolve material quality discrepancies and improve supplier quality.
Recommended Qualifications
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Familiarity with quality control principles and good documentation practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conforming materials.
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and Microsoft Excel.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing quality or inspection role.
Bonus Qualifications
- Familiarity with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation.
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Technician (CQT) certification.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems for quality transactions (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Knowledge of specific industry quality standards (e.g., IPC-A-610 for electronics).
- Advanced training or certification in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
