Inventory Control Manager | Rockford, MI

Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure data integrity within the ERP system.
  • Develop and implement robust cycle counting programs to verify physical inventory against system records.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Optimize inventory levels to support production schedules while minimizing holding costs and waste.
  • Lead and mentor inventory control staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, forecast needs, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the identification and disposition of obsolete, slow-moving, and damaged inventory.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience in inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for inventory management (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong understanding of inventory optimization techniques and methodologies (e.g., JIT, Kanban, min/max levels).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed inventory analysis, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Experience in managing and executing cycle counting programs and physical inventories.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for inventory analysis
  • Experience implementing or managing automated warehousing systems (AS/RS, robotics)
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
